With an abundance of high quality local producers and eateries, it’s little wonder that more and more visitors are coming to the North Lakes to eat – and of course for the fabulous scenery and host of activities we have to offer!
In Keswick Itself:
The Lakes Bar & Bistro
The Lakes Bar & Bistro has an intimate, yet relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff and an extensive menu. Their pizzas are very popular and the Black Pudding and Poached Egg starter has our personal recommendation.

The Dog & Gun
A cosy place, you’ll need to be there early to get a table, or be prepared to stand at the bar to wait for one – but it’s well worth it just for the Goulash! With hearty portions it’s perfect after a full days walking in the Lakes. A welcoming pub, visitors often comment that they’re made to feel like locals as soon as you arrive. It’s dog friendly too and has a weekly pub quiz.

The George Inn
Traditional pub favourites with a modern twist, all deliciously cooked, are served in either the bar area or the non-smoking restaurant. The infamous Cow Pie and mash is not to be missed but be warned, you’ll need to come hungry, as the portions are massive.
